Founding and history

kitea: For your sake

The founding of kitea in May 2026 is based on the merger of Villa Luna and Kinderzentren Kunterbunt, two independent providers of daycare centers belonging to the Europe-wide operating Klett Group.

Managing Director Annette Holtmann and Dr. Jürgen Reul (Chairman) had a simple yet powerful reason for their commitment to kitea: for your sake. And that's how the kitea daycare centers got their slogan. An additional “e“ also makes the word “Kita” the name of the organization and stands for Kitas with the Eextra.

You children

We create places of security and growth. Places where you can curiously explore the world, develop your talents, and cultivate your personality. We will gently guide you on your journey.

To you parents

We are a reliable partner at your side. We support you in your daily responsibilities.

To you employees
zuliebe

We create a work environment based on appreciation, collaboration, and development. Our motto, "For your sake," unites everyone who is part of our community.

Since their founding, both companies have experienced strong growth, allowing their facilities to quickly reach a large area in Germany. As a result, in the founding year of kitea, there were already over 110 daycare centers in nine federal states.

The company kitea combines expertise, many years of industry experience and high-quality childcare and This is complemented by the trusting cooperation with the families and the valuable collaborations in regional networks. For interested parents, our parent service is the first point of contact.
