Eitorf. To showcase the construction progress of our new daycare center “kitea Eitorf” on site, we as the sponsoring organization invited project participants, families from the surrounding area and interested educational professionals to an open construction site day on Friday, April 17, 2026.
The official guests included Mayor Rainer Viehof, Mr. Langenbach (kindergarten needs planning), Ms. Lock (head of planning, investment support and operating costs for daycare facilities), Ms. Andrea Schnieber (architecture) and Ms. Esra Sarikaya (senior project manager at KLEUSBERG GmbH & Co. KG), the company that developed the timber hybrid modular construction method.
Mr. Norman Kuhn (Head of Business Management & Projects for Daycare Centers), representing the sponsoring organization, warmly welcomed the guests with a speech. During the construction site tour, visitors had the opportunity to see the planned facilities for themselves and ask questions. Lively discussions took place over delicious street food from the catering team.
Following the completion of the drywall work and the exterior facade, the next step involves installing wood wool insulation in the drywall on the ground floor and closing it off from the second side. Construction is progressing well! The facility is scheduled to open on September 01, 2026, shortly after the start of the 2026/27 kindergarten year.
