kitea Wernau Laichleweg is transformed into an art gallery
On June 25th, the kitea Wernau Laichleweg (formerly KiKu Waldwichtel) opened its doors for a very special opening reception. The theme was... “A journey around the world of daycare” The children, together with their educational staff, presented the results of a multi-week art and education project.
The entire facility was transformed into a lovingly designed gallery with various themed worlds: Visitors were able to admire impressive papier-mâché sculptures, Mosaic Land with references to Greek mythology, the Claude Monet Country, Forest and fairytale land as well as the colorful African Safari and Country of Colors The toddlers discovered something new. A creative and adventurous activity took place in the gymnasium. World Travel through different continents, while in the forest clearing children and parents at Action Painting They themselves became artists. In the sensory room, video recordings offered insights into the creative processes of the past weeks.
goal of the project The aim was to offer children diverse creative opportunities and to playfully introduce them to different colors, materials, and artistic techniques. This fostered their imagination, fine motor skills, perseverance, and independent creative expression.
Together we demonstrated that early childhood education extends far beyond crafting. Creative activities foster imagination, perseverance, fine motor skills, language development, and cultural understanding. With great curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm, the children explored art, nature, cultures, and stories, and presented their work with great pride.
The numerous visitors were delighted by the diversity of the exhibition and experienced an inspiring journey through the world of children – full of creativity, joy of discovery and educational diversity.
