Many guests, a great atmosphere, wonderful memories – our daycare center “KiKu Wolkenburg” celebrated its 10th anniversary.
Hennef. The anniversary celebration of our daycare center “KiKu Wolkenburg” (soon to be kitea Hennef Burgstraße) on June 12, 2026 was bursting with good cheer: Everywhere there was cheerful laughter and children exploring the diverse range of activities and crafts.
We were especially pleased by the visit of Mayor Mario Dahm, who took the time to attend our anniversary celebration in person. The Office for Youth, Children and Social Affairs was also represented: Ms. Alexandra Boi and the child protection officer, Ms. Bianca Hoßbach, were available at their own information stand to answer guests' questions and engage in open discussion.
Children, parents, siblings, and friends came together to celebrate, play, and get creative. Face painting, hair braiding, and glitter tattoos contributed to the festive look.
The bouncy castles and ball pit brought smiles to the children's faces and endless fun. A particular highlight was the Windeck mobile play unit, which arrived with a wealth of activity modules and creative materials. The children could experiment, discover, and invent new games to their hearts' content. The mobile play unit added an extra dose of adventure to the festival. The classic duck fishing game also provided exciting moments, while the balloon artist delighted everyone.
The buffet offered a delicious mix of cakes and savory dishes, lovingly prepared by parents and staff. The selection ranged from classic favorites to savory snacks – ideal for recharging your batteries.
A heartfelt thank you goes to all the helpers who made the celebration possible with their dedication. The positive feedback shows how valuable such shared experiences are for our community. We are already looking forward to future celebrations and more wonderful moments at our daycare center.
